Take a photo of your passport.2. If your passport has a chip and your phone can make contactless payments, read the chip in your passport using your phone.3. Scan your face using the camera on your phone.4. Take a photo of yourself.5. Answer questions about yourself.6. Pay for your application.Before you startYou need to be in a well-lit area, so you can take a good quality photograph of yourself.You need:• the passport you will use to travel to the UK - not a photocopy• a credit card, debit card, Google Pay• access to your emailsYou need to take photos of the:• passport• face of the person applyingYou do not need to enter your travel details.Applying takes around 10 minutes. What happens nextYoull usually get a decision within 3 working days, and you may get a quicker decision.
